Luxurious Cabinet Pulls From Access Residential Hardware

Looking for a way to elevate the look of your kitchen or bathroom? Need a cost-effective way to update your home? New cabinet hardware is an easy way to add a decorative touch to your space. At Access Residential Hardware, we offer premium quality cabinet pulls that will instantly add style to any room in your home. Our cabinet hardware is beautiful, high quality, and easy to install.

Cabinet Pulls Vs. Cabinet Knobs

There are two main types of cabinet hardware: cabinet knobs and cabinet pulls. Either type is attached to a cabinet or drawer for easy opening.

  • Cabinet Pulls: Cabinet pulls are larger than knobs and function more like a handle, with more to grip onto. Because they are larger than knobs, they may also create more visual appeal and offer many style options.
  • Cabinet Knobs: In addition to cabinet pulls, Access Hardware also sells cabinet knobs. Cabinet knobs are smaller than pulls or handles. Cabinet knobs are also slightly easier to install, as they are attached to the cabinet door by only one screw.

Coordinating the style and color of your cabinet pulls with other hardware in a room can create a cohesive, put-together look. We offer cabinet pulls in the following styles:

Choosing A Cabinet Pull Style To Suit Your Home

Like other types of door hardware, cabinet pulls are all designed to be functional first and foremost. Cabinet pulls come in so many styles that it’s easy to find something to compliment your look or something new to change the overall feel of your room.

For a sleek and sophisticated look, choose a simple cabinet pull with clean, minimalist lines. For an elegant look, choose cabinet pulls with intricate details. For a playful look, choose something unexpected! Play around with different looks - you may be surprised what speaks to you!

Types Of Cabinet Pulls

There are several different types of cabinet pulls that function more or less the same but may attach to your cabinet or drawer a bit differently. Most cabinet pulls are shaped like a bar that you can grab onto and attach to the cabinet with two screws that will go through the cabinet.

Finger pulls are smaller and may only attach to the cabinet with one screw. These function similarly to cabinet knobs. Edge pulls generally attach to the top edge of the cabinet or drawer and provide a clean, minimal look. Finally, bin pulls, also called cup pulls, are closed at the top and can be gripped from the bottom and offer a unique style.

Elevate Your Style With Backplates

Cabinet pulls can be used with or without a backplate. The backplate sits flush against the cabinet between the cabinet and the cabinet pull. Adding a backplate allows you to make more of a statement with your cabinet pulls.

Cabinet Pull Sizing

The sizes you choose for your cabinet pulls will depend on the size of the room, the size of the cabinets or drawers the pulls will attach to, and the overall look you are going for. Generally, the larger the room, the larger the size of pulls you will want to use, and for a smaller room, you probably want to choose smaller pulls. However, if you like the look of a certain size better for your space, you can play around with what feels best to you.

For cabinet or drawer size, follow the same guidelines: bigger or longer pulls for larger cabinets and drawers, and smaller, shorter pulls for smaller cabinets and drawers. Use these guidelines if you’re unsure what size pulls to use for drawers:

  • Drawers 12” wide or less: use knobs with a diameter of 1" or less.
  • Drawers between 12” to 30” wide: use a pull between 4” to 8” long or a knob between 1” and 1.5” in diameter.
  • Drawers that are 30" to 48" wide: use a pull 8” long or longer, or a knob that is one inch in diameter or larger. You can also use two knobs or pulls on larger drawers, which creates a whole new look.

In a room with many drawers and cabinets, you can mix and match sizes of cabinet pull to suit individual drawers and cabinets. Or mix it up and choose some knobs and some pulls in the same style to create a unique look.
